Within the framework of the general mobilization announced by the Autonomous Administration on January 18, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union in the city of Al-Darbasiyah, in al-Jazira Canton, affirmed their complete readiness to protect residential neighborhoods, defend the land, and confront the threats targeting the region. They stressed the continuation of resistance and the rejection of any attempts to occupy the land or break the will.

In this context, Koli Othman, a member of the Young Women’s Union in the city, confirmed that youth have joined the general mobilization to protect residential neighborhoods and defend the people in the face of existing threats.

She explained that the youth have taken to the streets to protect their neighborhoods and land and to prevent any attempt by the enemy to enter the area, emphasizing that this mobilization comes in defense of women and children and to prevent any massacres against them. She affirmed that as long as there is breath in their bodies, the enemy will not be allowed to enter the land.

Koli Othman also referred to the crime of cutting the braid of one of the fighters of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) by a mercenary of the so-called interim government, stressing that this crime will not break the will of Kurdish women. She added that the morale of the fighters is very high and that no one will be able to break their resolve.

She further emphasized that youth play a fundamental role at this stage by supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Women’s Protection Units YPJ, and by standing on the front lines of resistance to protect a land watered with the blood of martyrs.

Koli Othman addressed a message to the Kurdish people in the four parts of Kurdistan, calling on them to continue resisting, not to remain in their homes, and to stand united against the enemy.

For her part, Noura Hami, an administrator of the Young Women’s Union in Al-Darbasiyah, confirmed that young women and youth in general are fully prepared to defend the homeland and towns in light of the declaration of general mobilization.

She explained that the youth have joined the general mobilization and will resist with all their strength and on all fronts, affirming that morale remains high despite the ongoing attacks and pressures.

She added that alongside military attacks, the enemy is waging a media war aimed at psychological influence and breaking morale, but stressed that these attempts will not succeed.

Noura Hami emphasized that the role of youth and the Young Women’s Union is essential at this sensitive stage, noting that youth constitute the main pillar of this confrontation, and that the so-called “special war” will not succeed in erasing the identity of the youth or breaking their will.

She affirmed their categorical rejection of any attempts to exterminate the people, pointing out that their slogan is “Woman, Life, Freedom.” In concluding her remarks, she called on the people not to pay attention to the media war and to continue steadfastness and resistance.

In her turn, Delbrin Mohammed, a member of the Revolutionary Youth in Al-Darbasiyah, affirmed that resistance represents life, stressing the continuation of struggle to the last drop of blood and rejecting any surrender or acceptance of the occupation of the homeland.

He explained that the role of youth is of paramount importance at this stage, citing the words of leader Abdullah Ocalan: “We began with youth, and we will be victorious with youth.” He affirmed that the enemy seeks to commit massacres against the Kurdish people and attempt to erase them, but that the revolutionary youth will continue their resistance with full force.

In closing, Mohammed appealed to the sons and daughters of the Kurdish people to be one hand in protecting the people from massacres, affirming that morale is high and that they are confident in their military forces and their ability to defend the land and the people.
