Iraqi government satisfied with Turkish occupation of Basûr

KDP's head Abdul Karim Seku told Hawar news agency (ANHA) on the Turkish attacks against the territories of Başûr Kurdistan, and said that one of the objectives of the Turkish state of these attacks which target the gains of the Kurdish people is to restore the glories of the Ottoman state.

Seku noted, "Erdogan says that even if I find the Kurds in America I will fight them. This Turkish hostility to the Kurdish people dates back to the Ottoman era. They have been fighting the Kurds for thousands of years, but the Turkish occupation state has not made any gains in the face of resistance of the Kurdish people."

'Turkey will be defeated in Başûr as defeated in Rojava'

Seku added that Erdogan failed in Afrin and noted, "Erdogan try to achieve victory through occupation and demographic change, but we must not forget the extent of the resistance shown there." Seku added “The people of Afrin had resisted for 58 days against tanks and artillery, and resisted various forms of attacks. The resistance is still ongoing to this day in al-Shahba, and as the occupation failed in its attacks on Rojava, it will fail in the attacks against Başûr Kurdistan and Qandîl."

'Turkish state’s plan aims at ending the existence of the Kurdish people'

Seku pointed out, "Başûr is a part of Kurdistan. Erdogan, in the framework of his attacks against the Kurdish people, has signed many agreements with a number of countries in the world, and internally, he allied with the Nationalist Movement against the Kurdish people, as agreed with Russia and America on the external level .These agreements aimed at ending the existence of the Kurdish people. And the world, for its part, turns a blind eye to the attacks launched against the Kurds in line with their interests .The war does not take place in those countries, and the victims are the Kurds. These agreements prove the saying, "No friends for the Kurdish people." There are some of the Kurds who support Erdogan in these agreements.

'Erdogan is afraid'

Seku said in the context of his speech, "Erdogan is now in a dangerous state, so he is stepping up his attacks. Erdogan has proved, through his attacks against the Kurdish people, that he is a sick person and afraid of the Kurdish people’ struggle."

The statements of Iraq are not effective""

The head of KDP - Syria Abdul Karim Seku also discussed the Iraqi state's position on the Turkish intervention in the territory of Iraq, as Iraq has not taken a clear position yet. The Iraqi state has not taken a clear position on the Turkish invasion of the territory of Başûr Kurdistan yet.

It has made some statements against the attacks of Erdogan, but these statements had no significant impact. They did not take real steps in this regard. The Iraqi parliament has not taken any effective decisions yet. The Iraqi state must protect its territories. If Turkey attacked Başûr Kurdistan, Iraq must work immediately to remove Turkish troops from the Iraqi territories.

Abdul Karim Seku called in conclusion to unite the Kurdish class, strengthen the national unity and unite the forces in order to confront the Turkish occupation.
