16 Turkish soldiers killed in Bakur

The media center of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) noted that on June 22, the forces killed 12 Turkish occupation’s soldiers in Colemêrg and in June 19, 4 Intelligence elements got wounded in Çewlik.

HPG's media center said in a statement that in the framework of the revolutionary campaign of martyrs Pîroz and Agirî, the forces carried out military operations against the Turkish occupation army.

The statement said, "On June 22, the Free Women's Units carried out operations against the occupiers on Xeregol hill in Çelê district. During the operation, 4 Turkish soldiers were killed."

The statement continued, "On the same day at 15:50, another operation was carried out on Xeregol hill, and 8 enemy's fortifications were destroyed on the hill, and 8 soldiers of the occupation army were killed."

According to the statement, "On 19 June at 15:00 in the area between Çemêhenî and Devalan in Hênê district of Çewlik in Bakur in North Kurdistan, our forces carried out an operation against a military vehicle carrying members of the Gendarmerie and Intelligence. The occupiers launched an attack on the area, the attack failed on June 22 without reaching any result.

At the end of the statement, the forces said, "On June 21, the Turkish occupation army launched an attack on Katir Gullerî Square in Erzînjan city. Furthermore, the attack is still on going.”
