Markets Security Office participates in ensuring business security

The municipality seeks by opening the new office to strengthen the protection of the markets after the trade movement witnessed a remarkable recovery after the liberation of the city by the Syrian Democratic Forces as the number of commercial and industrial shops increased with the growing sense of safety which has been lost for years.

The office consists of 10 members and alternate members whose first and last task is to monitor the suspicious movements in the markets which deter bad people from doing acts that may harm the public interest and affect the activity, especially with the overcrowding that al-Tabqa is witnessing these days as the residents’ number has reached more than 100,000 people; the inhabitant and displaced.

"The work of Market Security guards starts from 9 pm to 6 am which ensures continuous surveillance throughout the night," said Mohammed al-Mohammad, the co-manager of the Market Security Office.

"Women play a pioneer role in the office as they play a role in the joint administration, and the number of the female participants is four members who are playing their role to the fullest despite the seriousness of the task and its difficulty as the women participate in the patrols at day and night within an integrated guard team."

It is worth mentioning that the municipality is still focusing on the establishment of offices to oversee the service of al-Tabqa people, the most recently of which may be the Transportation Office which is supposed to oversee the organization of traffic service cars and transportation.
