Qamishlo 's municipality begins to pave and maintains city 's roads

Qamishlo city 's people have suffered a lot of the roads and streets which were damaged .According to information was obatined from concerned authorities in People 's Municipality in Qamishlo about 90%of the roads and streets were damged and need to maintanied including entrances and exits of the city as well as the streets inside the neighborhoods, causing serious problems for parents and car owners.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) reported more than one report on the problem of damaged roads, most recently the agency's report on the condition of roads in the eastern and western city entrances.

In coordination with the concerned in People'sMunicipality in Qamishlo city the officials stressed that the municipality usually prepares and submits projects to Municipalities Body Qamishlo canton because these projects are considered large projects and beyond their capacity,.

We seek, according to the available possibilities to solve the service problems

The Co-chair of Municipalities Aministration Committee in Qamishlo canton Bahar Bakr stressed that the maintenance and paving of roads is a priority for municipalities and added  "During the rule of the regime, the area was neglected, resulting in damage to most of the city's roads, and after the establishment of Autonomous Administration we sought to solve the existing problems."

Bahar Bakr stressed that the municipalities will initially work on the paving and maintenance of the main roads ""About 90 percent of the roads in Qamishlo city are damaged, but we will start from the most important roads. At present, the conditions of the entrances and exits of the eastern and western cities are the most common problme to the people. During the summer we will pave the roads."

8,400 meters will be paved

On the details of the paving of the roads of the eastern and western entrances of the city, Bahar Bakr said that the project includes paving 8,400 meters, of which 4,200 meters to entrance of the western city (Amuda Road) and 4,200 meters to the eastern entrance road (Tirbsipi Road).About 200 million Syrian were allocated for these roads. The decision was taken during the last meeting to start the implementation of the project as of 20 June. In order to complete the project well, a committee of engineers, technicians and specialists has been assigned, and work will begin next week.

'Parents should keep the roads'

Bahar Bakr appleaed people in cooperation with municipality to maintain the roads, "work is not only for the municipality, the people must also maintain the roads, during the completion of the road to the parents to be cautious and not to use the roads before their readiness."

Abdel Aziz Rashou, a resident of the neighborhood, expressed his bitter resentment with the condition of the roads inside the neighborhood " 3 years ago and we are waiting for the paving of the streets of the neighborhood 3 years ago and the project of paving these streets is included in the municipal plan, but nothing has been done yet. The water of the sewers and out of the canals are many insects and rodents.

We will work on the inclusion of the project paving roads city within the scheme and according to the possibilities

The Co-chair of Municipalities Aministration Committee in Qamishlo canton Bahar Bakr stressed "We can not complete all the projects at once, as everyone knows that the region is still in a state of war, which directly affects our business." These projects require substantial funding, We will work on the completion of the ways of the entrances and exits of the city, and will seek to achieve the roads within the city in the future and according to the possibilities available."
