The Kurd, Arab, Alawite women of Afrin described violations and practices of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries against women in Afrin as cowardly before the will and organization of women. The positions of women came during interviews conducted by ANHA with a number of Afrin women who came out forcibly after the aggression and violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries against them, where they are residing now in al-Shahba now.

"With Turkey and its mercenaries’ occupation to the region of Afrin, and because we know their brutality and bad morals, we have preferred to leave our homes to staying under their control," said Walaa Hassan Khalil of the Arab component of Janders who lives in Serdem refugee camp in al-Shahba.

As for the situation of women in Afrin, she said, "According to the information we receive through some sources, the women of Afrin are in a deplorable situation where they are raped, beaten and tortured psychologically, in addition to imprisoning women inside houses and imposing laws restricting their freedom."

While the citizen Laila Ahmed, "the Turkish occupation army during the attacks on Afrin dropped leaflets by its aircraft claiming that it wants to free Afrin from terrorism, and today we see that the occupation of Turkey brought with it terrorism, and the worst injustices against women. The question is what does liberation mean for Turkey and its mercenaries?”

Laila said at the end of her speech that they are determined to withstand resistance in the camp of Berxwedan, and until the liberation of their land under banner of People’s and Women’s Protection Units.

"Since the first days of Turkey's occupation of Afrin province, killing, torture and rape of women have continued, and Turkey has violated the sanctity of holy sites by blowing up and destroying our sites in the area of ​​Mobata," said Nisreen Shabu, a senior citizen.

She concluded by saying that all the practices of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in Afrin express their brutality towards civilians and women in particular, and prove their weakness against the free will of women. Shabu stressed women of all components stand united against the Turkish occupation.
