Afrin students returned to schools

The Training Committee of the Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) in al-Shahba canton opened on Thursday schools to the primary stage student after being deprived of education for three months as a result of the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on Afrin.

In conjunction with the attacks of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on Afrin canton, TEV-DEM was forced to close the doors of schools to ensure the safety of students after the Turkish occupation targeted many schools.

Accordingly, on Thursday, TEV-DEM opened schools to the students in both Sherawa district and al-Shahbaa canton to complete their education for the second semester of 2017-2018.

According to the administrators of the Training Committee in TEV-DEM, the number of the students has reached 15,500 among them 5,500 students are from al- Shahba canton.

The children will be taught the curriculum of the Kurdish language prepared by the creator of the curricula in the Training Committee in TEV-DEM, and which was adopted in Afrin canton schools.

The students were sorted into two shifts. The morning shift starts at 7 am till 11 pm, while the second shift starts from 3 pm to 6 pm.
