Turkish opposition revealed Erdogan, his party’s hypocrisy regarding Palestine

The Turkish opposition revealed the hypocrisy of Erdogan and the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and their statements about their position on the massacres committed by the Israeli forces against the Palestinians after they offered a project to the parliament that is dominated by Erdogan party, and it was rejected.

On Wednesday, the opposition’s deputies in the Turkish parliament put forward a draft resolution of the vote, including the cancellation of all political, commercial and military agreements with Israel, including understandings of filtering the issue of Marmara ship, according to Sky News Arabia.

The opposition offered its project to protest Israel's use of excessive force against unarmed Palestinian protesters on Monday, leaving more than 60 victims and wounding more than 2,600.

But the draft resolution did not pass because of the objection of the ruling AKP’s deputies whose President Erdogan and the Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirm issued media statements against Israel.

Turkey and Israel signed reconciliation’s agreement in 2016 six years after an Israeli force captured a Turkish aid ship that was heading towards Gaza Strip, as 10 Turkish activists were killed, and that led to a diplomatic crisis between the two countries.

After the Turkish opposition parties stood in solidarity demanding the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador from Turkey, Ankara took a shy step and asked the Israeli ambassador to leave the country temporarily.

Ankara had previously announced the recall of its ambassador in Israel for consultation.
