Sefantia Ilik: We will support Rojava’s freedom; provide health support to Afrin people

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with Sefantia Ilik, a German pediatrician, said she worked at the Martyr Khabat Hospital in 2015 to treat war-wounded. "Since the beginning of Rojava revolution, we have been following the events that have taken place, this revolution gave hope for the women and society to take freedom which was the way to change the reality of women and I support this idea very much."

Sefantia Ilik identified the living reality of Rojava and North Syria and wanted to come back to Rojava after the Turkish attacks on Afrin city where thousands of its inhabitants were displaced, which is a tragedy.

She noted that Turkey is a fascist state and they declare this in Germany and all Europe, and stressed that it will support the revolution of freedom against Turkish fascism and its government.

In particular, she spoke of her support for the health sector in Rojava and North Syria, adding that they have discussed health issues with human rights organizations and with medical and health professionals so that there would be systematic and direct coordination with the Health Committee in Rojava, they tried to collect material support for sick children and women in hospitals Rojava.

She noted that they had been working with groups in Germany, Greece and Europe on the health situation in Rojava because it was a humanitarian issue.

She will visit with her colleagues from the German women's delegation in al-Shahba canton to learn about the health, social and human rights situation in the camps inhabited by Afrin people. She said that Afrin people are facing war and it is unfortunate that the people are displaced from their land.

Sefantia Ilik was part of the German women's delegation that arrived two days ago to Rojava in order to support Resistance of the Age in Afrin and support Kongra Star campaign which was launched under the slogan “Women, Revolt for Afrin city.”
