Al-Tabqa's 2nd forum of poets sends solidarity messages to Afrin's resistance

The forum, which was held under the auspices of Culture and Art Committee in the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa, came with the first anniversary of al-Tabqa's liberation.

Syrian Democratic Forces has liberated al-Tabqa on 10 May, 2017 during a 50-day of military operation.

The forum, entitled "On the Path of al-Tabqa, we will liberate Afrin", sent solidarity messages to Afrin, occupied by Turkish occupation army accompanied by mercenary gangs on 18 March 2017 after the killing of more than 260 civilians and the displacement of more than 200 thousand inhabitants in order to eliminate national privacy of the area.

The forum was attended by Culture and Art Committee and members of Democratic Civil Administration in al-Tabqa and members of the civil and military institutions in al-Jarniah town of the northwest al-Tabqa.

Under the literary and poets' tent at al-Jarniah Youth center, the poets began to cast their poems after standing a minute of silence.

The poems which were delivered during the forum focused on the solidarity of the al-Tabqa's people with the resistance of Afrin, which entered its second phase and stressed the unity of Syrian people with its different nationalities and sects.

"On the occasion of the first anniversary of the liberation of al-Tabqa city, this forum was held under the auspices of Culture and Art Committee, which is the second in al-Tabqa city and its countryside,

The administrator in al-Jarniah area Hanan al-Atef has welcomed the presence "we are welcome all the guests and distinguished guests."

For her part, the administrator at Women's House in al-Jarniah, Fouza Aboud congratulated on "the establishment of the first cultural forum in al-Jarniah after its liberation from ISIS on December 15, 2016, which killed culture in the area in the name of religion."
