Leftist Party congratulates working class on Labor Day

On May 1, the Central Committee of the Kurdish Leftist Party in Syria presents its warmest congratulations to the Kurdish, Syrian and international working class, and pledges to struggle to construct a world free of national and class oppression.

On this day, the workers and revolutionaries go to the streets and squares holding the banners of the revolution and chanting revolutionary chants and songs, recalling their struggles, great sacrifices and great commanders, and they stand on their experience of success and refraction inspiring lessons, in addition to renewing their promise to continue their eternal revolutionary march.

Labor Day comes this year and the Syrian arena has become the arena for international and regional conflicts. Each of these parties is seeking to achieve its goals that go beyond the Syrian arena and threaten to prolong the Syrian crisis and shed more blood. In this atmosphere, our Kurdish people continue their glorious revolution. The People and Women's Protection Units and the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to liberate al-Raqqa, the capital of the so-called Islamic Caliphate State and all the areas of north and east of the Euphrates River, and control over 50,000 km2 of the Syrian territories.

Turkey is responsible for destroying the Syrian revolution and for shedding the Syrian blood. It continues to conspire against it. It daily threatens to occupy Manbij and the eastern areas of the Euphrates in cooperation with the Syrian coalition and the remnants of the so-called Free Army, and it plots many conspiracies against the Kurdish people not only in Rojava, but in all parts of Kurdistan, and those conspiracies are open to all. On the other hand, Iran also plays a major destructive role in all areas of Syria, so it became clear to all parties that security and stability will not be achieved in Syria without putting an end to the intervention of both Turkey and Iran into Syria.

We, in the Leftist Kurdish Party in Syria, in the midst of these stormy developments, and in order to defeat the hostile plans, emphasize the need for being attentive and to diligently struggle to strengthen the self-factor of the Rojava Kurdistan Revolution, and to work hard for the Kurdish people's unity and all the components of North Syria, in addition to improving the living conditions of the people and continuing the democratic experiment which is an expression of the will of the entire Syrian people. We also call upon the international community to carry out its duties and provide the necessary assistances to find a solution to the Syrian crisis.
