Project in al-Tabqa city to supports economic independence women waiting final touches

Where the work of painting the workshop located in the second  neighborhood of al-Tabqa city has now been completed.

the workshop was a weapons warehouse of IS gangs during occupation al-Tabqa city  prior to their liberation in the middle of last year by the fighters of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from grip of IS gangs .

The workshop includes two rooms for the warehouse of fabrics and a room dedicated to cutting cloth and design in addition to the operator's room, which will include 20 sewing machines.

The only remaining work is cleaning the workshop from the remnants of restoration and paint followed by the installation of the machines in their designated places and will be opened in the next few days.

The aim of the opening of these projects is to achieve women's self-sufficiency and economic support to face harsh living conditions, especially after the restrictions imposed on women's work in general during the period of occupation of IS mercenaries to enitre the regions .

In this regard, the Administratior Women's Council  in al-Tabqa Doha Khalifa, confirmed that another sewing workshop will be opened within the building of the Women's Council and in particular the flags, banners and uniform for the collective activities such as marches, sit-ins and others.

According to al-Khalifa, the Women's Council is currently working on the installation of a kindergarten for women who have undergone training courses at the Syrian Women's Council Academy in addition to the rehabilitation of the swimming pool and restaurant in the Sport city  west of al-Tabqa city and the opening of some cafes on the corniche overlooking the lake.

It is worth noting that this event is the second of its kind carried out by the Women's Council in al-Tabqa after the opening of a sewing workshop in Ja'bar village  north-west of al-Tabqa city which also employs 20 women from the village
