Turkish State's seizure of the Euphrates River through dams in areas under state control has raised concerns among farmers who depend on irrigating their crops on Euphrates River.

The seizure of water by Turkey led to a drop in excess of the two meters in the Euphrates Lake formed behind the Euphrates Dam in al-Tabqa, on which the population depends on irrigating their crops as well as using them for drinking.

During the past two days, al-Tabqa city and the two towns "al-Garniya and al-Mansoura" in its countryside witnessed rainfall that contributed to alleviating the suffering of farmers, amid continuing concern that Turkey will continue to reserve Euphrates River, which will negatively affect the quantity and quality of crops
