Founding meeting of Intellectuals Union in Manbaj

Under the slogan "With intellectuals we build a conscious society," the activities of founding meeting of Intellectuals Union in Manbij city and its countryside began.

It began with standing a minute of silence, which was followed by the Vice-Presidency of Executive Council, Jamila Ahmed's word where she blessed at the beginning of the meeting on the intellectuals and wished them success.

Jamila added that "intellectuals have the most important role in organizing the community, so they have a key role in building institutions and forming councils."

In her speech, Amal Dada referred on behalf of civil autonomous administration in Manbij Amal Dada saying that the circumstances in Syria have reduced the role of intellectuals, so their role should be activated to be the source of awareness and management for peoples.

A member of Preparatory Committee for the meeting, Ahmad al-Yousef, then read the annual report of the intellectuals. After that, the discussion was opened to the audience to express their opinions and suggestions.

The activities of the meeting are still ongoing with discussions, in order to be followed by elections and the formation of administration of Intellectuals Union.
