Co-chair of Executive Council of al-Tabqa refutes rumors of Syrian regime

The co-chair of Executive Council has described in the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa area, that what the Syrian regime has launched of rumors of a possible return to al-Tabqa is "propaganda".

During an interview with ANHA, Shiyar Mohammad spoke about developments in the Syrian arena on the political front.

He tight up what is happening in al-Tabqa with the incidents of Syria in general "al-Tabqa is part of Syria and not separate from Syria," he said.

Since the liberation of al-Tabqa on May 10, Syrian regime has been spreading rumors of its return to al-Tabqa in order to control it.

"The regime through private war is sowing strife and fear among people," said the co-chair of Executive Council.

He described the Syrian regime attempts to promote its return to al-Tabqa  as "propaganda" .

"People who are used to managing themselves democratically can not accept the return of the regime," he said.

On another subject, Mohammed considered what al-Assad regime is carrying out "acts of genocide against Syrians by bombing al-Gouta with chemical weapons is a violation of moral and human values."

Activists opposed to Syrian regime have reported that Duma area of eastern Gouta in Damascus has been targeted with poison gas, which is denied by the Syrian regime as well as by Russia, as is the custom after every time civilians are targeted with poison gas.

Mohammed stressed the ability of al-Tabqa to administrate itself "through the formation of Democratic Civil Administration that al-Tabqa can manage itself in all aspects of political, economic and military."

He stressed that Turkish presence in Syrian territory is a direct occupation.

The Co-Chair of Executive Council of al-Tabqa area recalled the hostility of Turkish state to all democratic projects.

"If we assume that the democratic project was put up in south Syria, Turkey will also oppose that project," he said, adding that "democratic projects are totally opposed to their ideas and fascist policies and the democratic project is a nightmare in itself."

Mohammed stressed that Turkish state directed "the people and Turkish army to the abyss."
