The Democratic Union Party in Raqqa Canton organized the activities of the Fourth Syrian Forum, under the slogan “Prospects for the Syrian Solution and its Challenges”, in the Happy Land Hall in Raqqa Canton.

The forum was attended by members of the Democratic Union Party, the Future Syria Party, the Conservative Party, political figures and intellectuals from within Syria; from Sweida, Damascus, Salamiyah, Homs and the Syrian coast, the deputies of the joint presidency of the Executive Council in the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the region of North and East Syria, representatives of the Syrian Democratic Council and representatives of the Democratic Islam Conference.

The Syrian Forum includes two axes. The first axis deals with the current Syrian situation after the fall of the Baath regime and the values and foundations of the Third Syrian Republic. The second axis deals with resolving the Kurdish issue in Syria, the democratic nation, and the model of self-administration to build a democratic Syria.

The forum began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, and then the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Brouin Youssef, welcomed the attendees and remembered the martyrs of the Syrian revolution.

Borwin Youssef thanked everyone who attended the forum, and said: “I extend my special greetings to the guests who came from inside Syria, and who believe that Syria is not divided, and that Syria is for all Syrians without sectarian or religious discriminations, and who believe that Syria must be pluralistic and democratic.”

She also saluted all the military and security forces that are writing heroic epics at Tishreen Dam now in the face of the attacks of the occupying Turkish state.

Brouin Youssef explained that the Turkish occupation state wants to occupy more Syrian lands, and she said: “We aspire to establish relations with neighboring countries. We have no problem with the Turkish people or the peoples of the region, but the Turkish government is taking another approach to legitimize its attacks.”
