YRJ congratulates 126th anniversary of Kurdish press

YRJ congratulated the 126th anniversary of the Kurdish press, and said through a written statement ANHA get a copy of it: “Today marks the 126th anniversary of the publication of the first Kurdish newspaper in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, this day is considered a great one among the Kurdish people, because it is the first building block of the Kurdish media.”

YRJ also congratulated “all our male and female colleagues, male and female journalists, in Kurdistan and the world,” and recalled the founder of Free Women’s Media, Ghurbat Ali Arsuz, and one of the founders of the Women’s Media Union in North and East Syria, journalist Shafin Begul, journalist Delishan Ibish, and journalist Nojian Arhan, and all martyrs of freedom and democracy. .

The Union indicated that the first Kurdistan newspaper was published by Miqdad Medhat Badrakhan on April 22, 1898, and it was the beginning of the Kurdish press, it also became the beginning of forming the nucleus of the free women’s media that appeared with the founding of Kurdistan Liberation Movement.

YRJ pledged “to continue our path of leadership in women’s media, by conveying the voice of Kurdish women to public opinion, highlighting women’s issues, and highlighting their pioneering role in building a free democratic society, in accordance with the approach of leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

It called on all female media professionals to enhance communication in the manner of the martyrs of free media, and to build a free life through effective struggle to repel all attempts to exterminate women.
