Youth of Serrin mobilize for defense

After the call by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to join the fronts of resistance, the youth of the city of Serrin have responded to the general mobilization. As part of self-defense (Community Protection Units), the youth are patrolling the neighborhoods of the city day and night.

In the face of attacks by the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries, a general mobilization has been declared in North and East Syria. The leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) also called on all the youth to take their place on the fronts of resistance.

Women, youth, elders, and seniors have responded to the calls, beginning to protect their villages and towns throughout the region.

In southwest Kobani, which has been under attack by the Turkish occupying state and its mercenaries for more than 10 days, the youth have joined the general mobilization.

On the frontlines, fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces and female fighters of the Women’s Protection Units are showing great resistance and repelling the attacks. In the villages and cities, people are protecting themselves from sleeper cells and individuals attempting to spread chaos.

The youth of the city of Serrin in southwest Kobani have also joined the general mobilization, patrolling the neighborhoods day and night.

Due to the occupation’s attacks on the Tishrin Dam, there is no electricity, leaving the area in darkness. The youth are also patrolling the neighborhoods to confront those attempting to spread chaos.

"We must protect"

Roudin Mohammed (22 years old) has been protecting the streets of Serrin for 12 days. Roudin, who carries a weapon to protect her people and land, says: "To protect my land from the enemy, I joined the ranks of defense. They must protect their land and the achievements of their martyrs. First and foremost, our youth must protect their neighborhoods. Our fighters are on the frontlines, and we must also protect our neighborhoods in order to support our fighters and keep them strong."

"We are all prepared"

Nasra Ahmed, also 22 years old, guards her neighborhood from 8:00 PM until the early hours of the morning. Nasra says: "The situation in Serrin is good. We are all prepared. We go out to protect our homeland, and this is the duty of all youth who must go out to defend their homeland."
