Women take to streets for Sheikh Maqsoud- Ashrafieh

Hundreds of women in the Euphrates region marched to condemn the massacres committed against the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid in Aleppo. They praised their resistance and carried banners that read, "Humanity must break its silence," and "No to killing women and children."

The march began in front of the Free Woman Square in Kobani, with participants carrying pictures of the martyr Ziad Halab and the resistance fighters who fought alongside him. They chanted slogans such as, "Resistance is life," "No to killing women," and "Long live the resistance of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh."

Upon reaching Peace Square in the city, the march transformed into a mass gathering, beginning with a minute of silence. Then, Suad Al-Demir, an administrator in the Star Congress Council in Qunaya, west of Kobani, delivered a speech in which she praised the resistance of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiya, and Bani Zeid, saying, "An epic of heroism has been written during the revolutionary people's war that took place there."

Suad explained that the people of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya resisted the fiercest attacks carried out by the mercenaries of the interim government and the Turkish occupation state, adding, "Our people waged a fierce struggle against the attacks and demonstrated great resistance during their steadfastness against the mercenaries. We, in turn, salute the resistance of our people and will always support them."

The march concluded with chants of "Resistance is life," and "Long live the resistance of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya."
