Members of Kongra Star emphasized the necessity of educating women in accordance with the philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan to reject hate speech and violence against women and society, and to promote the values of peace and equality within the community.

Members of Kongra Star in Hasakah city, located in al-Jazira Canton of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, spoke to ANHA agency about the importance of consolidating the values of peace and tolerance, and rejecting the negative rhetoric that seeks to infiltrate the region’s culture.

Khalida Buti, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination Committee, explained that Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s call for peace represents the optimal solution to existing challenges. She stated: “We must educate ourselves and train according to the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. Thanks to the leader, we can promote the values of peace and reject discord and negative ideas within society.”

Layla Hassan, a member of the Training Committee at Kongra Star , noted that Syria is currently experiencing a difficult situation, which also affects the regions of North and East Syria. She said: “In light of these challenges, women must take responsibility and uplift society, steering it away from discord and authoritarian threats.” She highlighted the rising hate speech and violence against Syria’s diverse communities in digital media, stressing the urgent need to reject all forms of hate speech and to promote coexistence among society’s members.

Layla Hassan further emphasized the role women can play in this domain, fostering unity among all components and the Syrian people. She added: “By organizing women and society, we can avoid negative ideologies. It is the duty of women to protect and unite the people. We Syrian women must come together and spread peace within our communities.”

Bayan Khalil, a member of Kongra Star, affirmed the pivotal role women play in the peace process. She expressed that women do not want divisions to appear among society’s members, and that their efforts are based on equality, peace, and coexistence. She stated: “Women must live together in our land and region, with each community preserving its own culture and customs, complementing one another through their unity.
