Wave of violence, clashes, explosions across Syria in 24 hours

Various areas of Syria witnessed a wave of security incidents and armed attacks over the past 24 hours, in addition to explosions caused by remnants of war. The incidents resulted in deaths and injuries, as well as cases of theft, kidnapping, and armed confrontations between security forces and gunmen, according to reports monitored by ANHA agency.

In Raqqa, an armed clash using light weapons broke out between Internal Security Forces affiliated with the interim government and a group of armed individuals in the Sabahiya neighborhood at the city’s western entrance. Four individuals were arrested after their vehicle was surrounded and besieged.

In a separate incident, four employees of the international organization Blumont were robbed and assaulted while transporting salaries in Tal al-Saman camp in the Raqqa countryside. The attackers stole money and electronic devices.

Local sources also documented abuses against Kurdish citizens traveling from Hasakah to Afrin at the Tabqa checkpoint, including detention and verbal humiliation, raising concerns among residents about stability during the current period.

In Damascus, a young man was kidnapped and assaulted near Abbasiyyin Square before being found dead in al-Muadamiyah after his phone, documents, and personal belongings were stolen.

Aleppo also witnessed a fight in the al-Nayrab neighborhood that left two people dead and another injured.

Meanwhile, in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and Hasakah, armed clashes broke out in the Tayeb al-Fal desert area between groups attempting to control oil wells. The US base in Kharab al-Jir was also targeted by a drone attack, which was intercepted by air defenses without causing human casualties.

In Sweida, government forces targeted the town of al-Majdal with two drones. The attack caused minor injuries to one person after one of the drones was shot down by the National Guard.

Several regions of Syria also witnessed landmine explosions. In the Palmyra desert east of Homs, a citizen lost his life after a mine exploded while he was grazing sheep in the Tareq Shaer area, killing several sheep as well.

In the village of Huways, located in Jabal al-Bilas in the Aqirbat district of eastern Hama countryside, another civilian was killed for the same reason.

In the Raqqa countryside north of Ain Issa, two civilians were injured by a landmine explosion in the village of Kharbat Aboud. Meanwhile, two children from the town of Khasham in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside were injured after a mine exploded near the railway line.
