Cost of US strikes against Iran exceeds $11 billion in 4 days

Recent estimates show that the cost of the first four days of US military strikes against Iran reached about $11 billion, amid heavy use of interceptor missiles and advanced munitions.

Recent analyses estimated the cost of the first four days of US military operations against Iran at around $11 billion, according to an assessment conducted by Elaine McCusker, the former Pentagon budget official during the first term of the US President Donald Trump.

According to a report published by The Wall Street Journal, these costs include the deployment of more than 12 warships and around 100 aircraft to the Middle East from bases in the United States and Europe since late December, as part of a military operation named “Epic Fury.”

Estimates also indicate that the Pentagon used interceptor missiles worth up to $5.7 billion to counter Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, in addition to approximately $3.4 billion spent on bombs and various types of missiles during the operations.

These figures do not include the costs of salaries, training, or the use of U.S. military assets already deployed in the region, meaning the overall cost of the war could be even higher.
