Turkish occupation’s attacks foiled,18 mercenaries killed, 2 military vehicles destroyed

The Media Center confirmed the escalation of attacks by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries against the Qereqozaqê Bridge and Tishrin Dam. In response, the SDF exercised their right to self-defense through a statement that read:

"With the ongoing attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on northern and eastern Syria for the third consecutive month, our forces continue to counter these attacks, inflicting heavy losses on them.

On the Qereqozaqê front, in response to the occupation's attacks, the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) carried out an operation west of the Qereqozaqê Bridge, targeting the occupation's gatherings and fortifications. As a result, 8 mercenaries were killed, and others were injured. In another counter-operation, a radar system belonging to the occupation was destroyed, along with a fortified position they were occupying, and a surveillance camera.

The occupation and its mercenaries resumed shelling the villages of Al-Tina, Jada, Bir Hasso, Gasaq, Dikan, Malha, Al-San'a, the two hills of Sifi, and Qereqozaqê with heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars. More than 80 shells were fired, causing significant material damage to homes and properties of the civilians.

On the Tishrin Dam front, the enemy's warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on the southeastern countryside of Manbij, along with continuous artillery shelling both day and night, causing material damage to the targeted villages. At the same time, a group of mercenaries attempted to position themselves on the front lines of Abu Qalqal village and launched an attack on our forces' positions. When the mercenaries began their assault around 4:00 AM on the vicinity of Mount Syriatel, our fighters repelled them, and intense clashes broke out, killing 6 mercenaries and injuring others.

On another axis north of the Tishrin Dam, our forces carried out an operation against a mercenary gathering, killing 2 mercenaries and destroying a motorcycle. During the mercenaries' attempt to retrieve the bodies of their dead from the field, their vehicle was targeted, resulting in confirmed damage, and the remaining mercenaries fled.

Additionally, at 3:00 PM, the martyr Haroun units targeted an armored military vehicle of the mercenaries, destroying it completely and killing 2 mercenaries inside.

On the Deir Hafer front, the Turkish occupation's drones continued to fly over the region yesterday, and the occupation targeted our positions with three explosive-laden suicide drones, but they only caused material damage.

The total death toll for the mercenaries yesterday was 18 killed, with one injured, and two military vehicles, one of which was armored, along with a motorcycle, were destroyed."
