A source from the border gate of the occupied Girê Sipî reported that the Turkish occupation authorities handed over 600 Syrian refugees to their mercenaries, the "military police," in preparation for settling them in the homes of forcibly displaced people.

The source indicated that 70% of the deported refugees were moved during the first ten days of July, coinciding with widespread demonstrations and popular outrage across all occupied areas, condemning the racist events in Kayseri against Syrian refugees and rejecting Turkish-Syrian normalization.

With this latest deportation, the total number of people forcibly resettled in the occupied Girê Sipî has reached 36,400, including 72 Iraqis, since Turkish officials announced the resettlement project of one million Syrian refugees in the occupied Syrian territories in early April 2022.
