Afrin region is witnessing systematic actions by the Turkish occupation, manifested in the reconstruction and renovation of settlements, in a step considered an extension of the demographic change policies aimed at establishing a new reality that prevents the return of the original inhabitants to their homes.

Despite escalating popular and human rights demands for the return of the displaced, the Turkish occupation has recently begun renovating settlements, sparking widespread protests under the slogan "Restore Afrin to its People."

According to reports, the Turkish occupation began constructing new settlements in the city of Janders on November 5th, under the name "Toros Residential Complex," as part of efforts to reshape the region's demographic structure.

The Turkish occupation relies on what is known as the "Local Council" to promote these policies, thus entrenching the existing occupation.
