The transitional government forces have closed the Aleppo–Raqqa road near Deir Hafer, blocking civilian traffic and freight movement between Aleppo and the North and East Syria region.

One of the drivers stranded on Aleppo–Deir Hafer road told ANHA agency that members of these groups, after shutting down the road, require each transport vehicle to pay $100 as a levy in order to be permitted entry into Aleppo.

The driver compared the practices of the transitional government’s forces to those of the 4th Division, affiliated with the collapsed Baath regime.
