Tabqa sheikhs; Damascus Govt. siege warns of humanitarian disaster

The notables of the al -Wahb clan in al-Tabqa district condemned the siege of the Damascus Government of the Shahba, Sheikh Maqsoud and al -Ashrafieh, and the silence of humanitarian organizations that play a vital role, but did not lift a finger towards the suffering to the people in the neighborhoods. 

Sheikh Jamal al-Nahatair said, "The Damascus Government is always seeking to pressure the people of al-Shahba, Sheikh Maksoud and Ashrafieh with the aim of breaking their will."

"Instead of the Damascus government seeking to solve the crisis, it will be able to tighten its siege on the Syrians and practice the starvation policy, which is a curriculum listed in its agenda to break the will of the people and humiliate it and open the way for it to displace."

Al- Nahatair said, "Whatever the capitalist regimes and the Damascus government, fighting our project, do not be able to undermine the gains that were achieved with the blood of the martyrs, and the failure of the democratic nation project that calls for solidarity and brotherhood of the peoples."

He called on "human rights organizations for human rights to move quickly to stop the policy of starvation and intimidation pursued by the Damascus Government."

For his part, the notables Farhan al-Amilah said, “The Damascus Government resorted to narrowing the screws on the people of the areas affiliated with the AANES, because it has been unable to sit at the Syrian dialogue table, as well as it is not able to secure the requirements of the people.

He indicated that "over the 6 years of continuous years, Afrin IDPs live in camps under a severe siege, to fuel the situation and create life crises, which threaten a humanitarian catastrophe."

He added, "The Turkish occupation state is killing, and the Damascus Government is besieging, and all these actions are at the expense of the blood of the Syrian people."

Al-Amilah stressed during his speech, "We will not stand idly by and take the role of the spectator towards what is happening to our Syrian siblings within the regions of the Damascus Dovernment, and we will strive to break this siege practicing the areas and present the precious for our people in the besieged areas."
