Syrian Politician: Aleppo clashes orchestrated by Turkey

In this context, the Co-Chair of the Relations Office of the Future Syria Party, Saleh Al-Zoubi, said: “The events in Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyah are orchestrated. Every time meetings are held and agreements are reached between northern and eastern Syria and the government in Damascus, fighting is fabricated in Aleppo according to the agendas of parties trying to undermine negotiations and agreements.”

He added: “The April 1 agreement is part of the March 10 agreement to activate consensus between the Autonomous Administration and Damascus. As the Future Syria Party, we hope that Syrian–Syrian dialogue is the best solution to reach understanding between the two sides and that negotiations will bring stability to Aleppo and Syria as a whole.”

Al-Zoubi noted that “the victims in Aleppo are innocent, and the attackers are recruited by Turkey. They do not care about Syria’s stability; they follow Turkey’s interests and work to sow discord between NE Syria and Damascus.”

He affirmed that “reaching final agreements among Syrians is the way to enforce stability in Syria and to avoid submitting to foreign parties that incite conflict in the region, foremost among them Turkey.”

Al-Zoubi concluded by calling on Syrians to “adhere to Syrian–Syrian dialogue, maintain calm, and avoid being dragged into fighting.”
