Syrian Bishop: DAA represents civilized model for all Syrians

Bishop Mar Maurice Amsih, head of the Diocese of Jazira and the Euphrates, emphasized in an exclusive interview with ANHA Agency the critical importance of Syrian–Syrian dialogue as a fundamental solution that opens the doors of hope for a prosperous and secure future for all of Syria.

Bishop Amsih began his remarks by stating:

"We pray that the Administration in North and East Syria and Damascus may join hands in unity to build a single, undivided Syria. We are all Syrians, and we seek prosperity, peace, and love for every component of the Syrian people. We raise our hands to God to bless Syria — a land for all. We pray for everyone and for Syria, so that sustainability, security, and peace may prevail."

Speaking on the experience of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, Bishop Amsih praised it as a noteworthy developmental model worthy of recognition: "The Autonomous Administration project, which began a decade ago, operates like a beehive — a miniature state in itself. We liken it to the Kurdistan Region in terms of its cohesion and centralized coordination. They have achieved notable goals for their people. God willing, they will succeed in extending these achievements to benefit all Syrians through this civilized administrative model."

Addressing the political future of Syria, Bishop Amsih stressed the necessity of adopting internal dialogue as a pathway for resolving disputes, warning against foreign interventions that aim to hinder progress:

"Syrian–Syrian dialogue is the only viable solution. There are many actors attempting to sow discord and obstruct forward momentum, but by overcoming difficulties, we can achieve security and peace across Syria."

Bishop Mar Maurice Amsih concluded with a spiritual and humanitarian message that reflects a unifying vision for all Syrians:

"We pray for everyone so that God may bless all. Religion belongs to God, and the nation belongs to everyone — this is the most fitting principle for building Syria. Weapons only lead to destruction, but dialogue through words leads us to results that serve the greater good of rebuilding this beloved country."
