student of the martyr Sakîne Cansiz highlights some of her qualities

Member of the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E), Zilan Diyar, who describes herself as one of the students of the leader of the Kurdistan liberation movement and struggle for women's freedom, Sakîne Cansiz (Sara), spoke to ANHA agency on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of her martyrdom.

Zilan Diyar revealed that she met the martyr, Sakîne Cansiz, after the start of the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “I was greatly influenced by her position and style, as she did not follow the classical and traditional methods in her struggle. She used to criticize the topics that bothered her and that she did not agree with, and she expressed this clearly, and she was not forcing herself to choose between two opposing options, each of which contradicted the other. Rather, she was coming up with a third option and a third opinion based on these two options. She revealed that there are details of truth and reality.

"A self-contained mountain"

Zilan Diyar spoke about Sakîne Cansiz’s courage, saying: “Comrade Sara never resorted to choosing easy ways, and when she was tackling a problem, she did not just choose what was presented to her. She took a stance with her mind, will, and self-strength. This was her style. She trusted and believed strongly in the power of the truth, and believed that it would prevail sooner or later. In order to reveal the truth, she took rejection into consideration. She was alone like a mountain of faith in the truth, and she would pull everyone to this truth and move on.”

 “She was not compromising on principles.”

Zilan Diyar pointed out that Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a better description of the martyr Sakîne Cansiz, as he said about her: “The fighter for the undefeated truth.” She concluded her speech by saying: “leader APO saw that she would do everything in her power to reveal the truth, whatever the circumstances.” And this is what is hidden behind the saying, “There is no difference between killing me and killing comarde Sarah embodied the characteristics of Leader APO, which is represented by not choosing easy paths, believing in the power of truth and resistance, and standing with the truth even if it was alone. And wherever she went, the directives and visions of the movement and leader APO were realized.”

The freedom fighter Sakîne Cansiz, who is considered one of the founders of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the representative of the Kurdistan National Congress in Paris, Fîdan Dogan (Rojbîn), and a member of the Kurdish Youth Movement, Leyla Şaylamez (Ronahi), were assassinated in the French capital, Paris, on January 9, 2011, by an intelligence spy.
