Shelling, infiltration attempts east of Kobani, south of Çil Agha

At dawn, mercenaries of the interim government launched a series of attacks on the city of Kobani and the Jazira Canton, in a blatant breach of the ceasefire in place with the SDF.

A mercenary-operated drone targeted the village of Safa, south of the town of Çil Agha in the Jazira Canton, causing material damage.

In the same context, mercenaries shelled the villages of Jalabiya and Kharab Ashk, east of Kobani, with heavy artillery, followed by an attempt to infiltrate the two villages. Fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People’s Protection Units (YPG), and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) repelled the attack, leading to violent clashes that resulted in heavy losses among the mercenaries.

Yesterday, Sunday

On the morning of Sunday, January 25, mercenaries also launched an armored assault on the Jalabiya axis southeast of Kobani, which was thwarted. This was followed by attacks on the western countryside of Kobani, targeting the villages of Zarak and Al-Qasmiyah.

In the evening hours, mercenary artillery shelled the village of Al-Qasmiyah, resulting in the killing of a child and the injury of three other members of his family.

Later that same evening, mercenaries carried out an attack using three suicide drones on the village of Qirwa, south of Karaki Laki, before once again targeting the village of Safa in the countryside of Jal Agha, causing material damage.
