SDF issues statement regarding joint operation against ISIS cells in Hasaka

Today, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement regarding the operation being conducted by its forces in the city of Hasaka in the Jazera Canton. The statement read:

"Based on our national responsibility to protect the security of our people and maintain stability, we, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), announce the launch of a large-scale combing campaign targeting the hideouts and cells of the terrorist organization ISIS in and around the city of Hasaka.

This operation aims to pursue remnants of the organization, as well as sleeper and active cells that threaten the lives of civilians, dismantle logistical support dens, and thwart potential plots by the terrorist organization to target prisons and detention centers.

TOL military operations teams are participating in this operation to provide intelligence support, ensure high precision in targeting terrorist cells, and protect the lives of civilians.

While we affirm our determination to eradicate ISIS terrorism from its roots, we call on our people in the city of Hasaka to fully cooperate with our forces and report any suspicious activity. We emphasize that their safety and security are our top priority.
