"Resistance flag will remain fluttering under the slogan of Jin Jiyan Azadî"
Kurdish women's organizations and associations in Lebanon condemned the Turkish occupation state's targeting of female journalists, stressing that "the flag of resistance will remain raised and fluttering, under the slogan jin jiyan azadî (women, life, freedom)."
Kurdish women's organizations and associations in Lebanon issued a statement regarding the attack that targeted journalists in Sulaymaniyah on August 23, which resulted in the martyrdom of Kurdish journalists Gulestan Tara and Hiro Baha al-Din.
"These attacks by the Turkish state on free journalists, especially on Kurdish women, are aimed at silencing the free voice, the voice that exposes all the crimes committed by Turkish fascism on Kurdistan and the people of Kurdistan in its four parts. It also shows the failure and weakness of the will and security of the Kurdistan Region and even the Iraqi state in the face of the Turkish occupation state."
Kurdish women's organizations and associations in Lebanon condemned in their statement the "criminal operation" and stressed that these "assassinations will not break the will of free women's media, and that Turkey is considered an enemy of women and journalists, because women and the press reveal the true and criminal face of the Turkish state. Women's struggle against all violations and brutal attacks continues, and the flag of resistance will remain raised and fluttered, under the slogan of jin jiyan azadî (women, life, freedom)."
