K. Star in Lebanon discusses Ocalan's views on political, social transformation

Kongra Star in Lebanon held a discussion session in Beirut, attended by several of its members, to examine Abdullah Ocalan’s assessments issued on May 9, 2025, and their implications for understanding political and social developments in the region.

Participants discussed Ocalan’s ideas on transformation and change, the nature of society, and the historical conflict between communal society and state civilization. They also addressed the Kurdish question and the transition toward a democratic nation and a democratic society.

The discussion also explored the challenges facing the peoples of the region and women’s movements amid current developments, focusing on women’s freedom and their role in building a democratic society. Participants stressed the importance of strengthening political and social awareness to understand the causes of events and their potential consequences.

They emphasized the need to continue awareness-raising meetings and exchange views and analyses, helping deepen understanding of current issues, enhance women’s participation in addressing the challenges of the current period, and contribute to building a freer and more democratic society.
