PYD: NE Syria is source of solution, foundation for peoples' fraternity

The Democratic Union Party's (PYD) Public Relations Office held a meeting in the city of ed-Dirbasiyah, in Jazira region, bringing together prominent figures, politicians, and intellectuals from the Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, and Armenian communities. The meeting, which included members of civil society organizations, councils, and political parties in the city, focused on discussing the latest political developments in the region.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence. Then, Suleiman Arab; the member of the PYD's Public Relations Office, delivered a speech outlining the political situation in the region. He noted that a state of widespread chaos prevails in capitalist countries worldwide, as the nation-state system and its established borders no longer serve their interests; therefore, they resort to creating wars and conflicts that lead to major crises.

He added, "In North Kurdistan and Turkey, the process of peace and the democratic society are at the forefront of the public discourse. The Turks are now certain that if they do not reach an agreement with the Kurds and their leader, Abdullah Ocalan, they will be unable to survive or govern themselves. The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has taken significant steps that have contributed to laying a sound foundation for the process, and its success lies in organizing ranks, maintaining strength, and believing in its own capabilities."

He continued, "In Syria, with the establishment of the Syrian Transitional Government, we affirmed from the first day that we would not accept the exclusion of our presence, the monopolization of power, or the marginalization of any group from the process of building a new Syria. Ahmed al-Sharaa built a rigid and centralized system through his close associates, and they will not be able to govern Syria in this manner and with this constitution."

For her part, Ilham Mohamed; the member of the Democratic Union Party's (PYD) Relations Office, noted that "the crisis in Syria is entering its fifteenth year, and so far, no radical solutions have been found. However, the coming years will be crucial and decisive, solutions that guarantee co-existence will be found, and the regions of North and East Syria will be the source of the solution based on the principles of democratic nation and the peoples' fraternity."

In her remarks, Ilham Mohamed called on "the people of North and East Syria to be united, take a firm stance against attempts of discord, incitement and the attacks of the special war, and rally around the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces for the sake of protecting the gains of the revolution that were watered with the martyrs' blood."
