Hundreds of displaced Afrin residents gathered in Qamishlo with local residents this evening in front of the Muhammad Shiho Center for Culture and Arts, protesting the assaults on Kurdish families and the insults to Kurdish symbols in Afrin and Aleppo.

The protesters carried slogans such as “Long Live Rojava Resistance” and “We Do Not Accept Attacks”.

Earlier today, Kurdish families were attacked by groups of individuals in Afrin and Aleppo during Newroz celebrations. Their cars were vandalized, Kurdish symbols were insulted, and ethnic tensions against Kurds were incited. These incidents sparked outrage, prompting displaced Afrin residents and Hasakah locals to gather earlier in front of the provincial building in Hasakah.
