Public anger is growing over the arrest of the mayor of Gulmirk, Mehmet Sadiq Aksh, and the appointment of the city's governor as its guardian.

The protests continued from yesterday evening until this morning, and the people went out today in a massive public march.

The march, organized by political parties and civil society organizations, is still continuing in the city center at this time.

The co-chair of the Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party, Tulay Hatem Oğlırı, the co-chairs of the Democratic Regions Party, Cekdem Kılıçkun Açar and Keskin Baydar, components of the Labor and Freedom Alliance, the delegation of the Republican People's Party, and many civil society organizations, are participating in the march.

It is expected that a statement will be delivered during the march and then the march will continue to the municipality building.
