Notables of the Arab Khawatna clan confirmed that the Democratic Autonomous Administration project guarantees and preserves the dignity and rights of the people of the region, and described the silence of the Damascus government regarding the Turkish attacks as shameful.

Various areas of North and East Syria, especially the Euphrates and Jazira cantons, witnessed violent attacks by the Turkish occupation state. The silence of the Damascus government forces regarding them caused a state of anger and popular discontent in the northern and eastern region of Syria.

Abdul Hamid al-Rajab, one of the notables of the Khawatna clan in al-Hol district in Jazira canton, denounced the attacks on North and East Syria, and noted that Turkey aims to destroy all means of life in the region.

Abdul Hamid al-Rajab denounced the silence of the Damascus government regarding the attacks on the region, and the occupation’s targeting of one of its forces’ points, and demanded that it clarify “its shameful position regarding the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation in the region.”

In his turn, Mahmoud al-Sabah, one of the notables of the Khawatna clan in al-Hol district, described the recent attacks that affected the region as “criminal acts carried out by the Turkish occupation state to target civilians and livelihoods.”

During his speech, Mahmoud al-Sabah called on international forces and humanitarian organizations to do their duty to protect the region and its vital facilities, and stressed: “Whatever they do, we will not abandon the project of Democratic Autonomous Administration, and we will support our forces and our administration as it is the only project that guarantees and preserves the dignity and rights of the people of the region.”

During the period between January 13 and 15, the Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks with drones and warplanes, and these attacks affected 80 sites in the northern and eastern region of Syria, including infrastructure, service and economic institutions, and destroyed 20 power plants in addition to the only electricity generation center in North and East Syria.
