Leader Abdullah Ocalan is deprived of his right to meet his family and his lawyer under the pretext of “disciplinary penalties.” Between 2021 and 2023 alone, at least 10 disciplinary penalties were imposed on him and the rest of the Imrali detainees, each lasting 3 months. They were prevented from meeting their families and lawyers, and the lawyers are not informed of the reasons.

As a result of the requests submitted by the lawyers of the Al-Qarn Law Office to the Execution Court in Bursa, the court revealed the imposition of several disciplinary penalties, each lasting 3 months, on their clients on August 18, 2021, February 3, 2022, May 31, 2022, and September 9, 2022.

The lawyers submitted a new request to the court on July 10, 2023, and the court responded to them on July 19 of last year, revealing that a new disciplinary penalty of 3 months had been imposed on their clients without revealing the date of issuance of this penalty decision.

On October 10 of last year, the lawyers submitted a new request to the court. The lawyers submitted another request to the court, and a request was also submitted to the Execution Court in Bursa in order to allow the families of the detainees to meet them. The court responded to the request on October 13, and revealed the imposition of another disciplinary punishment on Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the rest of the detainees in Imrali.
