New 3-month family visit ban to leader Ocalan, Imrali detainees
The Turkish authorities imposed new "Disciplinary Sentence" against leader Abdullah Ocalan and other Imrali detainees, for another 3 months.
No information has been received about leader Abdullah Ocalan for 4 years. Furthermore, the leader and the prisoners Hamili Yildirim, Omer Hayri Kunar, and Veysi Aktaş were prevented from meeting their families for another 3 months.
The Execution Court in Bursa responded to the request of lawyers and families of detainees regarding the meeting with their clients. The court reported that the head of the Disciplinary Committee imposed new “Disciplinary Penalties” on July 4 against leader Abdullah Ocalan and the three other prisoners.
Worth to note that the arguments of “Disciplinary Penalties” were not made clear, whereas lawyers’ requests to obtain information and documents were rejected. However, lawyers at the Supreme Criminal Court in Bursa will file an objection against the decision.
