Meeting between DAA’s delegation, transitional govt kicks off in Damascus

A meeting has just kicked off in the Syrian capital, Damascus, bringing together the delegation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and representatives of the transitional government, as part of ongoing efforts to implement the provisions of the March 10 Agreement signed between the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the transitional government.

The meeting includes the SDF’s General Commander Mazloum Abdi, the Co-Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations Ilham Ahmed, and the Commander of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) Rojhilat Afrin, along with the Head of the transitional government Ahmad al-Sharaa and Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.

This step follows a meeting held on October 6, attended by Mazloum Abdi, Ilham Ahmed, Rojhilat Afrin, the Co-Deputy Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council Ghassan al-Yousef, and the Head of the Future Syria Party Abdul Hamid al-Mehbash, along with the US Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack and the Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, heading a delegation from the International Coalition.
