Mass rally in Al-Darbasiyah calls for leader Ocalan's release

The Young Women's Union and the Revolutionary Youth Movement in Al-Darbasiyah organized a rally today, marking the 14th anniversary of the July 19 Revolution, to call for leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom.

The rally began in front of the Youth Movement Center and proceeded toward Gardenia Roundabout. Participants carried portraits of leader Abdullah Ocalan, flags of the Young Women's Union, and banners reading: "With the spirit of the Rojava Resistance, we will secure leader Ocalan's physical freedom."

Upon reaching the roundabout, participants observed a minute of silence in honor of those who had lost their lives. Arsuz Khalaf, an administrator in the Young Women's Union, then delivered a speech, stating that the isolation imposed on the leader in İmralı Prison continues despite the launch of the peace and democratic society process.

She said that any discussion of freedom remains incomplete without leader Ocalan's physical freedom, calling on the international community—particularly organizations that advocate for human rights—to act to end his isolation and ensure his release.

She also called on supporters of the freedom movement around the world to intensify efforts to secure leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom, support the peace and democratic society process, and work toward building a democratic society that guarantees freedom and justice for all its communities.

The rally concluded with participants chanting: "There is no life without the Leader" and "Long live the prison resistance."
