March in Tabqa demands peace led by Leader Ocalan
Residents of Tabqa Canton, along with displaced people from Afrin and Shahba, took to the streets in a massive march in support of the peace message initiated by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, affirming it as the only path to the peace sought by the peoples.
The Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Tabqa Canton organized a mass march today, calling for the implementation of Leader Ocalan's peace initiative and the realization of his physical freedom. Hundreds participated, including residents of Tabqa, displaced persons from Afrin and Shahba, members of civil institutions, and members of the Zenobia Women's Gathering.
Participants carried photos of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and banners reading, “Our demand is to respond to Leader Apo’s call for peace and democracy.” They chanted slogans such as “No life without the Leader” and “Long live the resistance of Imrali.”
The march started from the First Neighborhood and proceeded to Maysaloon Roundabout in the Second Neighborhood at the center of Tabqa city.
Upon arrival, the participants observed a moment of silence in tribute to the martyrs. Elif Sheikh Mohammed, a member of the Administration Council for Afrin and Shahba IDPs in Tabqa, delivered a speech in which she affirmed that the peoples of North and East Syria will remain united and will strengthen their struggle alongside other free peoples of the world until the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.
Elif Sheikh Mohammed added, “The historic initiative launched by the Leader for peace is the only opportunity to end the conflicts and bloodshed that divide the Middle East.”
Amjad Al-Narjis, the co-chair of the Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Tabqa, stated, “At a time when regional and international powers are competing to redraw the maps of the Middle East, the voice of Leader Abdullah Ocalan stands out as the sole voice of reason capable of presenting a true project for peace and coexistence. It has become clear to all that the Leader holds the only key capable of breaking the cycle of chronic conflict and opening the door to sustainable solutions.”
Al-Narjis continued: “Because he speaks the language of free peoples, not the language of closed regimes; the language of justice, not the language of domination, the Leader’s recent initiative is a historic opportunity that must be seized before the coming storms sweep everyone away.”
In conclusion, Al-Narjis stressed that achieving the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is not a demand but a destiny for this region, and through it alone a new era will begin, where the sun of justice will rise above all borders and walls.
The march concluded with chants celebrating the Leader’s resistance and affirming that victory and reunion are drawing near.
