K.Star: Occupiers won't defeat women's struggle

Kongra Star's spokeswoman, Rehan Loqo, spoke to ANHA agency about the targeting of women, especially female entrepreneurs, the most recent of whom is Kongra Star's administrator, Zelal Zagros (Faryal Khaled), who was assassinated in Kirkuk on January 18.

Loqo explained that Zelal Zagros is one of the pioneers of the women’s movement and the Rojava Revolution After liberating some areas of NE Syria from ISIS.

Zelal Zagros went to those areas and played a prominent role in establishing the Women’s Organization.

“Women are targeted in southern Kurdistan with the complicity of the authorities.”

“Women in Kurdistan face different obstacles”

Luqo highlighted anti-women policies and pointed out that women face the same mentality throughout Kurdistan. In northern and eastern Kurdistan, for example, they are subjected to arrest and punishment, and in Rojava, women who seek to build a democratic society are targeted by drones belonging to the Turkish occupation state.

“We will raise the level of organization.”
