KJK declares Newroz 2025 as year of leader freedom, victory

In its statement, KJK articulated its commitment to the ideals of "peace and democratic society" as advocated by Leader Apo. The Kurdish people have enthusiastically ignited the flame of Newroz, engaging in freedom circles across Eastern, Southern, Northern Kurdistan, Rojava, and beyond since the beginning of March.

 The KJK extended its congratulations to Leader Apo, the martyrs, the guerrillas, women, youth, and all peoples on this day of freedom and rebirth, asserting, "This Newroz symbolizes the resurgence of the Kurdish people and the peoples of the Middle East, particularly women. We are confident that our people will mark this occasion with the beginning of a new struggle and achieve significant success."

 Emphasizing the Pioneering Role of the Kurdish People

 The KJK further elaborated: "The Kurdish people, who rose against oppression with the flame of freedom kindled by Kawa the Blacksmith 2,637 years ago in the Zagros Mountains, achieved their liberation by defeating the tyrant Zahak. This historical role continues today, where the liberation of the Kurdish people signifies the liberation of all peoples and women.

 Therefore, we welcome Leader Apo's call for 'peace and democratic society' as a beacon of hope for a new, free life in Kurdistan, the Middle East, and the world."

 The Tyrannical Regime's Violent Response

 The oppressive regime responded to our people, who welcomed Newroz with enthusiasm and a commitment to peace, by perpetrating a massacre in Kobani,in addition to atrocities in Halabja, Gaziantep, Qamishlo, and Afrin. The tyrannical state forces death and extermination upon us, and we must honor the memory of those who have been martyred.

 Under the Leadership of Martyrs and Heroes

 Newroz signifies renewal, embracing the future while rooted in the past. It embodies resilience in the face of adversity and is a symbol of striving towards light from darkness. The fire of resistance has continued for 52 years, aiming to solidify its existence in a continuous and eternal reality.

On this occasion, we remember with gratitude and sincerity all our martyrs, including Mazlum Dogan, Zakiye Alkan, Rehshan Demiral, Berivan, Ronahi, and Sema Yüce.

 The Era of Democratic Society

 In this context, the Newroz, we celebrate heralds a new phase of struggle, laying the foundation for a democratic society based on the free and equal unity of women, peoples, beliefs, and all oppressed groups against the singular national state system. This struggle aims to build a free world from regional to global levels, shaping the Middle East and the world with a consciousness of freedom through the interaction of free peoples and democratic nations.

 Furthermore, the regional and global peace cannot be achieved without transcending the mentality of "suppressing Kurdish uprisings – eliminating their leaders," which has led to the deterioration of Kurdish-Turkish relations. Our people have resisted the conspiracy of February 15 with the slogan "You cannot hide our sun," unveiling the truths. Today, securing our leader's physical freedom is the paramount goal and a tangible expression of the solution. The slogan of Newroz will be "Free Leader – Democratic Society," representing the struggle our people will reinforce in the coming period to achieve success.

 A Call to Ignite the Flame of Newroz

 In this spirit, we must make 2025 a year where the Kurdish people unite with their leader and advance the struggle towards victory,  we call upon all our people, including women, youth, children, friends, and all supporters of freedom and democracy, to ignite the flame of Newroz, everyone must flow into the fields and squares of Newroz, chant for democracy, and commence the struggle that ensures the physical freedom of Leader Apo, making this year's Newroz a covenant of unity with our leader and a guarantee of freedom for women and peoples.
