First of its kind: 350 tons of flour, thousands of aid packages delivered to Syrian Coast

This initiative, organized by the Kurdish Red Crescent and the Autonomous Democratic Administration in collaboration with local communities. It serves as an urgent response to the dire situation faced by coastal residents following the tragic events of March 7–10.

 The convoy began offloading its supplies at a warehouse in the town of Ras al-Ain, in Jableh’s countryside.

 The unloading process is overseen by the "One Hand" team, which consists of young volunteers from the affected areas who have come together to assist in unloading trucks and sorting aid materials.

 The convoy includes 6,000 food packages, approximately 2,500 cleaning supplies packages, and 350 tons of flour, all of which will be distributed to affected populations in Jableh, Lattakia, and Baniyas under the joint supervision of the Kurdish Red Crescent, the St. Jacob Organization, and several local actors.

 Shirin Khalil,  the official spokesperson for the Women's Office of the Kurdish Red Crescent, confirmed that the convoy reached its destination without any obstacles. She dismissed rumors circulating on social media regarding theft of the convoy’s contents.

  "The Damascus authorities facilitated the passage of the convoy, with the only condition being the removal of the Kurdish Red Crescent logo and designating it as the 'Popular Initiative Convoy from North and East Syria," Khalil added.

 She emphasized that this initiative is the first of its kind in 14 years and holds significant importance.

 "The recent events have been deeply distressing, but they have fostered stronger connections between the residents of the coast and those of North and East Syria."

 She further remarked, "We came here to extend a helping hand to those affected by these events and to reaffirm our humanitarian solidarity with them."

 The volunteers from both sides have underscored that the primary goal of this initiative is to promote unity and compassion among all components and sects. They reiterated the shared plight of the Syrian people and emphasized that solidarity during crises is the only way to overcome hardships.
