KJAR calls for formation of public committees and institutions in Eastern Kurdistan

 The Free Women's Organization of East Kurdistan (KJAR) issued a statement today regarding the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

The organization explained that "war between nation-states is not a means to liberate societies, and that the only path to liberation and freedom is through the democratic struggle of women."

It criticized the mutual military attacks between Iran and Israeli forces on various regions of the two countries, asserting that the ongoing war is the result of the predetermined policies of the global capitalist system aimed at reshaping the Middle East.

It emphasized that the current war has nothing to do with the freedom of women and societies, and that none of the demands of the people, especially women, are on the agenda of the warring parties. It pointed to the misuse of the slogan "Women, Life, Freedom," which is not a propaganda tool but rather the fruit of the lived experience of women who have fought in the streets in recent years for the right to life, freedom, and equality.

It pointed out that in the midst of wars between peoples and countries, many women and children are killed, and that the current war between Israeli forces and Iran is no exception to this rule. Therefore, we must not forget that Iran has been waging war on society for years by implementing policies of execution, killing women, and spreading poverty and unemployment. This is why a gap has formed between Iran and society, especially with regard to women, even before the war began, and now it is more evident than ever in the context of the war crisis.

The Free Women's Organization of Eastern Kurdistan emphasized the importance of broader organization among women and various segments of society, and the formation of popular committees and organizations, which is an important step on the path to freedom and democracy in Iran. It called on all female activists and women in free parties and organizations to become a unified voice against patriarchal mentality and war through greater cooperation
