KCDP: 45 women killed in Turkey, N. Kurdistan
32 women were murdered, and 13 others lost their lives in suspicious circumstances during last April in Turkey and North Kurdistan.
We Will Stop Femicide Platform (KCDP) issued its report on last April. According to the report, 32 women were killed, 10 of whom wanted to make a decision about their lives, such as wanting a divorce and refusing to marry, in Turkey and north Kurdistan.
The report indicated that out of 32 women, 19 of them were killed by their husbands, 5 by their intimate partners, 3 by their relatives, 2 by someone they knew, one by her father, one by her brother, and one was killed by her son. According to the report, 18 of the women were killed at home, 4 in the street, 2 in a public place, 1 in a car, 1 in the field, 1 in a deserted place, 1 in a hotel, and 1 in a haystack, while 3 it was not possible to determine the location of the crime.
