Journalists: Turkish attacks on journalists aim to conceal Truth

On December 19, the Turkish occupation targeted a car carrying journalist Nazim Dashtan and ANHA agency's correspondent Jihan Belkin with a drone on the road between Tishrin Dam and the town of Sirrin, south of Kobani.

 Rûdaw TV correspondent Qasim Al-Hardan expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs Jihan and Nazim, stating: "The journalists were on a mission to reveal the truth to the world, and Turkey targeted them to hide its crimes."

 Al-Hardan explained that the crimes of the Turkish occupation state will not be hidden from the Syrians, and that journalists in the North and East Syria region will continue to expose these crimes.

 He called on international and human rights organizations to protect journalists from any threats posed by the Turkish occupation state, and affirmed his commitment to following in the footsteps of the martyrs.

 For her part, media professional Sana Al-Mohsen from the Zenobia Women's Gathering in Deir ez-Zor said: "Targeting journalists is not new to the Turkish occupation state, this authoritarian state always seeks to silence voices and hide the truth."

 She confirmed that she will continue her media work to uncover the facts, especially the truth about the Turkish occupation state, which seeks to occupy more Syrian lands and expand its influence amid the current circumstances in Syria.

 In turn, media professional Khadija Al-Abdullah from the Executive Council in Deir ez-Zor condemned the crimes of the Turkish occupation state against journalists and activists aimed at concealing its true image.

 She pointed out that the Turkish occupation state continues to target journalists, as it targeted journalists Klistan and Hero in Southern Kurdistan two months ago, and now it is trying to break the will of journalists in the North and East Syria

 Khadija Al-Abdullah concluded her speech by pledging to all the martyr journalists to follow their path and continue to expose the crimes of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against the Syrian people.
