Israeli incursion and shelling in Quneitra countryside

The Quneitra countryside witnessed a new incursion by Israeli forces, coinciding with shelling that targeted the vicinity of the town of Al-Hamidiyah, amidst ongoing Israeli military movements in the area.

An Israeli force advanced today into the village of Al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah in the northern countryside of Quneitra, according to local sources.

The sources reported that the force, consisting of five military vehicles, entered the village and set up a temporary checkpoint, where they searched passersby before continuing their movements within the area.

Separately, Israeli forces stationed in the town of Al-Hamidiyah fired a mortar shell and a smoke round at the area between Al-Hamidiyah and Madinat al-Salam in the northern Quneitra countryside; there were no reports of casualties or injuries.

This follows an incursion yesterday evening (Saturday) by an Israeli force—comprising six military vehicles—into the vicinity of the Kodna Dam in the central Quneitra countryside. The move coincided with Israeli drone flights over the area before the force subsequently withdrew.
